Hi, hello, hey Christmas. I'm here for you. I'm all yours.

"Don't get stuck. Move, travel, take a class, take a risk. There is a season for wildness and a season for settledness, and this is neither. This season is about becoming. Don't lose yourself at happy hour, but don't lose yourself on the corporate ladder either. Stop every once in a while and go out to coffee or climb in bed with your journal. Now is your time. Walk closely with people you love. Don't get stuck in the past, and don't try to fast-forward yourself into a future you haven't earned. Give today all the love and intensity and courage you can, and keep traveling honestly along life's path."
-Street Smarts: A Learning Process

My time has been consumed by many things lately. Mostly the glorious arrival of the holiday season which brings an inexpressible amount of joy to my heart. I visited Chicago over the weekend which was so overwhelmingly invigorating. Being in the city fits me like a glove and there's something even more inviting there during Christmastime. For now, I've got the Christmas radio station going non stop in my room and my family has pulled the Christmas decorations down from the attic in a grand procession. So I'm off to help Christmas truly begin in my house.

So. Halloween came and went out with a bang of an all night party, and Fall flew away too. The only visible leftovers are tangled fake spider webs, cut out bats, and sacred candy hidden in jars and trick-or-treat bags. And even though my friends and I felt like bums the day after our Halloween party, at least we were still together being bums, just playing video games and going out for food. Now when my friends and I are together it's just coffee, drives and movies. I like it that way though.

The cold, bitter weather is here. I've pulled out my favorite Christmas music and slowly my room is evolving into a glittery, velvety, warm haven for these two glorious holiday months.

Also, I can't get enough of  Fleetwood Mac. It'll make you feel fine.

Let's be honest though, can anyone honestly deny Ryan Gosling? He makes good music (see here), he's incredibly charming and hilarious (see here and here), and he's handsome as all get out. Today it's his birthday and I thought I owed him one.
Cheers! x

"I exaggerate my childhood but I swear I was brought up under the roller coasters of the Coney Island section in Brooklyn. Maybe that accounts for my personality which is a little nervous, I think. You know, I have a hyperactive imagination and I have some trouble distinguishing between fantasy and reality."
-Alvy Singer, Annie Hall

Annie Hall is a gem of a film. Woody Allen is a gem of a person. I love his stuff. Any of his films I'll eat right up. Each film brings out this certain side art and life merged together with humor as the core that I really dig a lot. I was also Annie Hall at one of the Halloween parties that I attended which felt really good. I have this thing for Diane Keaton that blossomed over the summer. She's such a real lady but still has that Woody Allen don't-mean-to-sound-didactic air about her. I dig it. I dig her and Woody a whole lot. Woody's films make me want to jump on a plane and move to New York City. And fast.
