// all summer //

Right now I am just soaking up these dreamy summer days and long, perfect nights.
They are filled with so much good music shared with my bro's, my button down shirts always knotted, perfect hot sunshine, and dreams of Pitchfork festival in July.

// summer mentality //

"I wish we could spend July by the sea, browning ourselves and feeling water-weighted hair flow behind us from a dive. I wish our gravest concerns were the summer gnats. I wish we were hungry for hot dogs and dopes, and it would be nice to smell the starch of summer linens and the faint odor of talc in blistering summer bath houses...We could lie in long citoneuse beams of the five o'clock sun on the plage at Juan-les-Pins and hear the sound of the drum and piano being scooped out to sea by the waves."
-Zelda Fitzgerald

It's time. It is freaking time. Let the most perfect 80's summer imaginable begin! Cheers, kids!

// young //

 Summer is everywhere. It's in the air, in the sun, in the way you think, act and talk. Every day is perfect with just the right amount of carefree emotion, wind blown hair and summer jams.

// year of the tiger //

Annie Clark performed right in front of me, just for me, and it was everything I needed. The whole night was so incredibly dreamy and surreal as Annie flawlessly shredded on her guitar and sang so beautifully your heart practically stopped right then and there.
Champagne Year just took my breath away, Year of the Tiger was such hardcore perfection, and Annie became my hero during Surgeon. But I don't think you can get any more punk rock and perfect than moshing with Annie during Krokodil, screaming the lyrics with the whole crowd, and afterwards chanting her name for an encore. Annie has left a huge imprint on my life.

// like we always do //

I don't know what I would be doing with myself if it weren't for Summer's perfectly timed arrival. I certainly wouldn't be spending my days listening to so many good summery tunes, cruising with the windows down, skating all afternoon, and bathing in the sun while sitting on the dock talking of everything. Most importantly I wouldn't be feeling this flawless freedom that there are endless possibilities. Possibilities like going to New York City for a week in June.

// it's time //

It's time. After all the songs and pictures saved, all the talks and dreams of it, all the expectations, Summer is here. With the countless longings my heart had for this carefree season it seems surreal and dreamy that it's now finally a reality and something to revel in and relish.
It's a time when the best idea in the world is to do like I did with my crew and skate all afternoon, listen to Dr. Dog and Best Coast in the evening air, have a bonfire beneath the stars, and, best of all, cruise with the windows down while American Spirits are smoked and Cults was cranked for the first time this year.
I know this was the first sublime summery weekend of many.
Everything is too good to be true.

// leisure //

The days have finally come when you sit around in your pyjamas with your bro's drinking coffee and enjoying breakfast until one in the afternoon, when the sun drenches and warms your body all day long, and when the nights have the brightest moon imaginable.
I have waited for this all year.

// summer's coming //

Guys. It smells like Summer. It feels like Summer. I think it's fair to say it really almost is Summer. And that just takes my breath away. Reeling it in with some Tribe Called Quest, long drives, so much skateboarding, colourful paintings, talks till dawn, and spontaneous adventures.
