Every year it's always the same thing. I always feel like I underestimate Spring. Every year, on the dot I forget that Spring, like summer, makes me feel as if life is starting all over again. I feel that hot sun and cool wind on my face and I know everything's alright. Life again feels easier for some reason. And Vampire Weekend's new song, Step fits completely with this Spring feeling.

Cheers! x

So a few things in my life:
The days have grown longer, the sun is shining brighter, and different music has been to my liking with the magical change of season. Also, for the first time in my life I've got my very own room - all my own to fill with every last thing that I love. In other words, my walls are slowly becoming covered with magazine clippings and pictures of Alexa Chung and Eddie Redmayne. And last but certainly not least, my best mates have been really stellar lately. They always are, but I think I'm just trying to appreciate it more. There's a small taste of Spring in the air and optimism has once again returned to my soul.

I hope this mixtape lights up your day. x

"It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold; when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade."

-Charles Dickens, Great Expectations

Outside it is gorgeous, bitterly cold but beautifully sunny and you can feel that it's Spring and that soon it will become eternally warm again. After having been sick for four days I'm ready to soak up these last couple of weeks of the dazzling Winter/Spring transition and paint, sketch, and write like mad.
This video by Cass Bird for the spring J.Crew style guide will satisfy the spring anticipation. x

Suddenly, unexplainably, beautifully - it was warm. Just for one day. And me and my gang knew the only logical choice was to go back to our roots, back to OUR LAND: the rooftop garage.

We tore that asphalt up with our skateboards. It was a really good feeling to be up there again, with everyone, skateboarding till dusk.

I'm hopeful for that infinite feeling that Spring and Summer brings.

So on Friday two of my best friends came over and we ran around in the snow while the sun was setting and it was way too beautiful for words. After dark, when you get really hyper and happy we made so much mac-n-cheese and watched movies and laughed till we couldn't breathe. So yes, I'd say my Friday was pretty killer.

Hope your weekend was stellar, dudes. x

"There is nothing I would not do for those who are really my friends. I have no notion of loving people by halves, it is not my nature."
-Jane Austen

There's a certain promise since March has arrived. I can now trust that sooner than later the earth and the people will come alive again and be full of color and movement. But still, even now, things have been beautiful. Certain people around me have helped make it beautiful.

Now, here's cheers to the weekend! Here are a few things I want to share with you:

3.  (Yes everyone's saying this but srsly) the Emerson Fry spring lookbook
4. Stream the new Rhye album Woman via Pitchfork
5. Bob Dylan playing the piano in some cool house (need I say more?)
