"Happy. Just in my swim shorts, barefooted, wild-haired, in the red fire dark, singing, swigging wine, spitting, jumping, running; that's the way to live."
These summer days feels endlessly satisfactory and infinite. I feel as if I'm milking every day for what's it's worth, making the best of it, and filling them with just enough of everything.
All these things- sitting on the floor with my bro's in the evening sun eating Chinese take-out listening to Joan Jett, cruising and jamming to Gorillaz, perusing over old records, chilling on the porch smoking American Spirits as the stars come out, and sitting on a rooftop garage at sunset talking for hours- all of them are precisely what summer should feel like. Easygoing. Complete. As if everyone has this lens they look through the moment summer kicks in. I think the golden sun and warm breeze helps.

"Running or walking; writing either music or words; going to a museum and being inspired by the colors and motion; something nice to eat; afternoon sun; solitude and rest; an encounter with water, whether it's the ocean or the tub; a conversation with someone in which something is being learned and shared; good music, maybe dancing; night."
-Victoria Legrand, describing her perfect day
Trying to soak up every last ounce of summer's glory.
