This week we pretended like it was Summer. It consisted of many brilliant activities, mostly consisting of: pipes+cigarettes, Arizona green tea, a beautiful Madewell catalogue, growing bored of my mirror and painting it red, pulling out my wayfarer sunglasses and of course Vampire Weekend as we drove with the windows down, eating out of season fruit if only for a small taste of Summer, windy convertible rides, brilliant times and finds in Salvation Army, pink+golden sunsets, endless pots of nighttime coffee, grilling, conversations till 4 in the morning all weekend, stripes, stripes, and more stripes, an afternoon at the lake, late night drives, and Summer music played continually.

Summer, I have missed you beyond reason. I feel as if anything is possible this time of year.
